Missions at Harrisburg First Assembly

"Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel (Matthew 28:19)

At Harrisburg First Assembly, we are committed to spreading the Word of God throughout our community and around the globe. We as a church body are activly involved in missions outreaches in our city with the youth Harrisburg Invasion. We have helped support Convoy of Hope during hurricane Katrina. We have sent teams to do missions work in Nicaragua, Czech Republic, and Tanzania. We also presently support around 60 missionaries on a monthly basis.

Missionary Profile -- Jim & Sherry Sabella, Philip, and Johnathan
Presently, Jim Sabella, together with his wife and son Johnathan, is the Area Director for Central Europe which includes the countries of Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Poland, Slovakia, and Switzerland.

There are over 150 Assemblies of God Missionaries, Missionaries in training, and Missionary Associates living and ministering in these countries.

Jim and Sherry's focus and vision, along with all the other missionaries they oversee, is to reach the Cities, Campuses, Children and Culturally Diverse People of these countries with the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. They are able to do this by partnering with the National Pentecostal churches of these nations in developing and maintaining viable ministries. Together, and with the Holy Spirit, they are reaching the lost of Central Europe.

Philip, the eldest son of the Sabella's, is studying to be a minister at Valley Forge Christian College.
